I don't know what it was about the winter, but it
was way cold this year. So by the time we were having a snow storm
on Feb 28th, we were heading to San Juan for some
well deserved sunlight.

I will tell you
it's very much that piece of paradise they make it sound, and much
more. Beautiful beaches, great food, and tropical weather makes
the perfect scene for a nice break from work and responsibility. |
| And the best part
of all, the people, with genuine warmth and clear signs of affection.
I guess the palm trees and the waves make it easy for people to
be nice. Or something else that I can see in the people from my
own country Venezuela. I really believe that people from Puerto
Rico has a lot in common with the people from Venezuela. Besides
the way we speak, the way we carry ourselves and the way to look
at life in an unsophisticated way and great charm.

I really loved it
there and can't wait to come back to The Atlantic beach hotel in
Condado. It's a classic and works in its simplistic way of fun and
drinks. And great bartenders too. |
| Great weekend getaway
and sweet reality check to make sure we "are" all right
doing what we want...

Back once more to the place in which I have established a career
and reputation. It's funny how this city, in which I've starting
working recently, had already embraced me as a premier entertainment
dancer and promote heavily my perfornmances. That makes it always
a great time for me in which I get to know a lot of interesting
people and also promote my website and my work, and it works. I
have been talking abut it for a while, and I make more of an announcement
now, I love Chicago!
For the week of march 25th to the 30th, I performed every night
at 10:45,11:45 and 12:45 , with dancers SugarShane, Miko and Phoenix. On
Sunday, march 30th Juan had a private party with 10 of us dancers.
When is a private party you have a chance to get real close with
the patrons and making friends turns into something real easy. Don't
miss the next one during the IML weekend on Memorial Day. I will
keep you posted.

Jason Sechrest had sent me an e-mail back in
January inviting me to do the show "Cocktail's with
the Stars" at Micky's in LA. Over 2 months later the
time had finally come and I was flying to L.A. to do the show and
a radio interview (see Highlight of the Month
on the homepage). Everything went well and at 7:00pm we were starting
what would be some king of live interview at a bar, with segments
of like 15 minutes in which we'd talk about my personal life, my
video work, and of course, my website. We would also raffle DVD's
and videos throughout the night, keeping the audience interested.
Jason turned out to be a lot younger than I thought he would be,
and very bright. It was undeniably a fun time and a chance to meet
a lot of nice people from the west coast who like my work and keep
track of my videos. It was very nice.

The next day I did a
Photoshoot with photographer extraordinaire Henning-von-Breg.
He had also seen my website and wanted to do a photo session with
me. When I saw his work I was very impressed and decided I would
really like to work with him. So we did, on a beautiful LA Friday
afternoon on the gorgeous Laurelmont Drive, on an also gorgeous
house with a great backyard and a pool. It was fantastic. Henning
had kindly mailed all 333 images from our photoshoot and let me
chose the ones I would like to have. So you will be seeing those
here, and you won't believe your eyes. They are extremely beautiful.
I will try to have them ready for you as soon as possible. |
 |
Then, after the photo session
I went to the valley to do a radio show with Jason Sechrest at ksexradio
with host, Sechrest and Adult super diva Skye Blue.
Let me tell you that "THIS" was fun. I love doing that
kind of interview, especially with the likes of Skye Blue. Was all
that fun for me. Look for a transcript of the
show on the homepage.
So my trip to LA was all good |

I can't remember the last time I danced there.
Must be circa 1994 or 1995, but I was aware that Mark Dalton
had been dancing there and had brought a lot of attention to his
performances and the Theater itself. So I saw the possibility to
plug my website and do some promotion in NY since I haven't got
any advertising done yet and it seems like the appropriate time
to work the NY scene and get back into the circuit. A lot of longtime
regulars showed up and a lot of new great people to meet and greet.
Having gotten used to the schedule at Madrigal's,
with only 3 shows a night, it felt kind of hard having to do 5 shows
a day and be there for over 10 hours a day. But it was worth it.
Good old Gaiety, who would have thought.
Unfortunately no pix from there due to the enforced
policy "No cameras allowed in the Theater." But I am sure
there is a lot of gossip on the chat rooms everywhere... Thank you
all. And be well. |
From the
heart,
Carlos Morales. |
